Dear Friends,
We would like to thank you for your generous support of our SMA Angels Charity Gala. We are forever grateful to our friends and a community that has "Never Given Up" and continues to support this fight against Spinal Muscular Atrophy. It was an amazing evening as we celebrated 25 years of Hope. There is a quote that says, "Once you choose Hope, anything's possible."
Twenty-Five years ago, when we joined together to help those with SMA, there was very little known about this genetic neuromuscular disorder. There was no treatment and no help. We had to decide on a path to move forward, and we chose Hope. We knew with hard work everything was possible. We were blessed with a caring community who came together to lend their support and help fund the crucial research. All of this hard work and support is generating tremendous results. It is a promising new era for SMA - filled with opportunities. We are elated that we now have three FDA approved treatments for SMA. With these new treatments and improved care options, there is real Hope and much needed Help. No family should ever again hear the words, "Your child has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, take them home and love them, there is nothing we can do, they will die before the age of two".
Because of your generosity, our charity will be able to continue to support this crucial research and work to improve quality of care and life for those with SMA. We will not stop until there is a CURE!
With sincere gratitude,
